1964 Amphicar. Last time it saw water was? Lovingly kept in dry and heated storage. After filling and replacing tires, she rolled easily out of its slumber spot. Everything like suspension and cables, even brakes easily became useable. This will become a very nice Amphi. Some work had been done a long time ago and still holding up very well. We will strip down old paint and start from there.
This car will be for sale. Engineering student and formally trained metal fabricator Mike Derer will be restoring this car. All funds will be used to continue his education. Pre sales are welcome. We can build to your needs and desires. Ready Fall of 2010. Or today as is.
Valve job was all it took to make this car run great. Transmission shifts
smoothly and water trans is super quiet. Brake wheel cylinders have been
rebuilt. Usual rust had been repaired 25 years ago and still is good. Body needs
to be sanded down and re sprayed. Or use as is and enjoy.
